Editorial policy

All prices, routes and gate rules on this site are independently verified against the most recent publicly available NWR tariff sheets, Ministry of Environment publications and direct on-site fieldwork. We cite primary sources where they exist. Fact-checks are rerun each quarter.

How we research

• On-site fieldwork: Multiple self-drive expeditions through Anderson, Von Lindequist, King Nehale, Galton and Nehale Lyamingo gates.
• Primary-source tariffs: Prices are cross-checked against the NWR Official Tariff (2025/2026 season) and lodge-direct rate cards.
• Wildlife data: Species counts and conservation status follow the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (Namibia), Etosha Ecological Institute reports, and the IUCN Red List.
• Route and timing: Drive times verified via GPS track logs from multiple visits and cross-referenced against NWR camp-to-camp distance charts.

What we do not do

• We do not sell lodge bookings, transfers, or tour packages through this site.
• We do not accept fees, commissions or free stays in exchange for editorial placement.
• We do not republish operator-written brochure copy as editorial.

Geographic focus

This site covers Etosha National Park, Namibia (centered near 19.0°S, 16.0°E), its six rest camps (Okaukuejo, Halali, Namutoni, Onkoshi, Dolomite, Olifantsrus), five public gates and the surrounding lodges within 60 km of the park boundary.
