Etosha safari pricing spans an enormous range — from a budget self-drive of NAD 4,000 for two people over three days to luxury guided packages exceeding NAD 80,000 per person for a week. Understanding what drives the price variation helps you find the package that delivers maximum value for your goals.
The Three Price Tiers
Budget: NAD 1,500–3,000 per person per night
Budget Etosha means Etosha camping or basic bungalows with self-catering. The safari experience itself is identical to what luxury visitors have — the same waterholes, the same animals, the same sunrises. What differs is the bed you sleep in and the food you eat.
- Etosha camping: from NAD 460 per person
- In-park bungalows: from NAD 1,400 per person sharing
- Self-catering reduces food costs to NAD 150–250/person/day
- Total daily cost (2 adults): NAD 1,000–2,000 including park fees
Mid-Range: NAD 3,000–7,000 per person per night
Mid-range covers the better in-park chalets, mid-range private outside-park lodges along the eastern and Andersson Gate corridors, and comfortable inside-park accommodation with restaurant meals included or available.

- Private lodges (outside park): NAD 2,500–5,000/person/night often including meals

Luxury: NAD 7,000–20,000+ per person per night
Luxury Etosha means Onkoshi Camp, Dolomite Camp, or the top outside-park private lodges along the park boundary. All meals, activities, and often park fees are included. Private game drives, specialist guiding, and premium infrastructure.
