Mushara Outpost is the small, adults-focused tented camp of the Mushara Collection: eight custom-made wood-and-canvas tent-chalets raised 1.5 metres above the banks of an ancient dry riverbed (omuramba), 10 km from Von Lindequist Gate. Glass sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling windows make the tents feel more like elevated glass cabins than canvas; each is air-conditioned with an open-plan bathroom and glass shower cubicle.
The main house plays against the tents deliberately — styled like an old Namibian farmhouse with a corrugated-iron roof and wrap-around veranda, serving homemade meals with produce from the Mushara garden.

Eight double tents on raised wooden decks: wood-and-canvas structures with glass sliding doors, floor-to-ceiling windows, air conditioning, open-plan bathrooms with a separate toilet and glass shower cubicle. Children are welcome from age 12, at adult rates — younger families are warmly pointed 1 km down the road to Mushara Bush Camp, the collection’s dedicated family camp.

Who Mushara Outpost suits
Couples and friends travelling without young children who want design-led tented comfort at a sensible price point — noticeably below the private-reserve flagships across the road. Getting to Mushara Outpost
From Windhoek: B1 north about 530 km to Tsumeb, a further ~74 km, then left onto the C38 toward Namutoni; the Outpost entrance is signposted 1 km beyond Mushara Bush Camp’s, 10 km from Von Lindequist Gate.
