Etosha National Park Accommodations: Complete Overview
Etosha offers a full spectrum of accommodation — from basic tent pitches to premium pan-edge chalets. This overview covers every option inside and outside the park, with practical guidance on who each suits.
Inside the Park: Etosha Camps
All inside-park accommodation is managed by Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) and booked at nwr.com.na. There are five camps.

Dolomite (Western Concession)
- Premium chalets only (no camping)
- Exclusive western zone access; highest rhino density
- Book 4–6 months ahead for dry season
Onkoshi (Northeast Pan Edge)

- Book earliest of all options — 5–7 months for peak season
Outside the Park: Private Lodges
Private lodges operate adjacent to the park on private or concession land. They typically offer guided game drives, night drives, and walking safaris unavailable inside Etosha camps.
Private reserves on the southern boundary
- Multiple lodges and tented camps on private reserves adjoining Andersson Gate
- Night drives and walking safaris included
- Guided drives into Etosha and on the private reserves
- White and black rhino on private reserve
Other Outside Options Near Anderson Gate
- Multiple farm lodges and guesthouses within 20–80 km of Anderson Gate
- Typical offering: chalets or rooms, pool, restaurant, guided morning drive
- Better availability than NWR in peak season
- Sacrifice: gate transit time reduces inside-park hours
