Etosha National Park
Situated halfway between Namutoni and Okaukuejo. 8km from the main road linking these two resorts. Halali Resort is reachable by entering the park at Okaukuejo (Andersson Gate) or Namutoni (the Von Lindequist Gate). Halali Resort is near some of the most popular waterholes. It lies amongst shady Mopane trees at the base of Dolomite hill. The hills within the eastern section of Etosha are located near Halali resort.

Accommodation at Halali is in various rooms to suit a full range of visitors. The guided game drives at the lodge provide flexible opportunities to see wildlife. Halali offers guests the largest pool in the park.
Waterhole
A short walk will take you to the camp’s floodlit waterhole with excellent day and night game viewing. Proximity to some of the park’s most popular waterholes, the surrounding area is famous for game viewing. The thick vegetation in the area makes it a popular draw for wildlife, including elephants, rhinos and more.
History
The word Halali is of German origin. It was used to imply that the quarry was brought to bay and that the hunt was over. In Etosha, the term has a different connotation. It represents that sport hunting, and the needless killing of animals is over. This resort opened in 1967.
The German soldiers operated a heliograph. This was on the top of one of the nearby Helio Hills to signal their comrades at Fort Namutoni. The Helio Waterhole derives its name from this signal station.
