Dolomite Resort is the western-most NWR camp in Etosha National Park, located at 19.0099° S, 14.4740° E, accessible via the Galton Gate. It opened to the public after the western region of the park was opened beyond restricted access. The resort offers 20 chalets, accommodation only (no camping), starting from NAD 2,380 per person sharing (rates in Namibian Dollars).

Accommodation and facilities
Game drives bring you to the most exclusive area of the park. The birdlife is prolific, and the seasonal flowers of Dolomite Hill are a highlight. The camp is unfenced, allowing animals to roam between the tents and communal areas. The restaurant serves meals on a rim-flow swimming pool deck overlooking a prolific waterhole. The bar area is ideal for relaxing and socialising. Dolomite Resort offers 20 chalets built on elevated wooden decks on the outer edges of a Dolomite ridge. All rooms have thatched roofs and canvas walls, allowing spectacular panoramic views.

Wildlife and waterholes
With many waterholes in the area, wildlife sightings are widespread, providing excellent photography opportunities. Black and white rhinos can often be spotted at the Klippan waterhole. Various waterholes offer high chances of spotting a diversity of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras and predators.
History
Once a restricted area, the western region of Etosha has now opened up to the public, allowing visitors to explore the untamed wilderness of this incredible ecosystem. Boasting a rich tapestry of diverse flora and fauna, this scenic area is known for its abundance of biodiversity. The name comes from the majestic Dolomite formation, which towers over the resort and sparkles in the African sun.

Dolomite Resort rates start at NAD 2,380 per person sharing (2026 published NWR rates). All rates quoted in Namibian Dollars. Booking is through Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) at nwr.com.na or via established travel agents. Subject to NWR terms and conditions.
