Etosha Waterhole-by-Waterhole Guide (What to Expect + Best Timing)

Etosha Waterhole-by-Waterhole Guide: What to Expect and Best Timing

A systematic waterhole guide for the whole park — organised by camp base, with realistic expectations for each hole by season and time of day.

How to Use This Guide

Each waterhole entry gives: distance from nearest camp, species most commonly seen, best time of day, and a brief character note. Use this to build your daily drive schedule rather than driving randomly between waterholes.
